  • Sounds promising but the one drawback is that it utilizes bismuth, which for all practical purposes isn’t much better than lead from an environmental standpoint. However, considering the volume of disposable alkaline batteries that exist in the world today, anything that can help to change them from being disposable to rechargeable would be a much bigger advantage to the environment.
