    **Easy Lemon Pasta with Chicken**

    *(this is not the OP recipe, so we are gonna add some stuff to replicate it)*

    * Yield: 3 to 5 servings

    * Level: Easy

    * 1 pound dried penne

    * 2 chicken cutlets, cut into fingers

    * Salt and freshly ground black pepper

    * 3 cloves garlic, sliced

    * 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

    * 3 tablespoons olive oil

    * 1 cup spinach leaves

    * 3 tablespoons roughly chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

    * 2 lemons, juiced

    * 1/2 cup grated Parmesan

    1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water, until al dente. Drain well.

    2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat a large grill pan over medium high and add chicken. Grill until golden and completely cooked. Remove to a plate and slice.

    3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes to a saute pan with 3 tablespoons of olive oil and saute until fragrant. Add the cooked pasta and turn heat off. Mix all together.

    4. Remove pasta to a large bowl. Add chicken to the warm pasta and season with salt and pepper. Add spinach leaves and toss to coat.

    5. Sprinkle in chopped parsley. Add the juice of 2 lemons and mix. Before serving top with Parmesan.

  • Quoting my wife: “You mother f*****! You can’t post pictures of food like this on r/food without posting the recipe!”
    I tend to agree. Looks yummy.

  • A recipe would be dope.

  • For some reason this is a very controversial post

  • Looks like penne pasta, chicken, spinach, olive oil + lemon, and possibly parm cheese

  • I know Iā€™m going to get downvoted for this, but does anyone else find this dish to be very unimpressive? It looks like little to no effort was put into the recipe nor the preparation. Not trying to be mean, just wondering why this is being upvoted so much.

  • This looks bland as fuck.

  • Lemon and butter are good.

  • It’d be nice if everyone stopped acting like a culinary genius (If you indeed are, please continue on.)

    My skill level for cooking still consists of all kinds of eggs, a sandwich, rice, and hot dogs. I’m following this subreddit to learn more and get more comfortable eating on my own instead of relying on takeout.

    This may be novice level pasta, but relax. I literally clicked this image because this looked very good to me. If I’m wrong, oh fucking well, but it’s why I’m on this sub.

    That being said, can I get a damn recipe OP?

  • good to see,I want receipe how to made>>>>>>>

  • Goodness, why is everyone being so negative?? It’s a meal you made at home and you wanted to share it! I just made some simple pasta and am pretty full but I’d eat two more servings of this bc it just looks and sounds delicious! Simple can be just as delicious as extravagant šŸ™‚

  • What are the leaves, spinach?

  • Healthy but looks bland

  • I want to face plant in this and eat my way to freedom.

  • This is something I would make and tell myself that I really need to learn to cook properly, then eat it and be totally satisfied.

  • Chicken, basil, citrus, $spices

  • You’re taking advantage of me while I’m drunk

  • I need the recipe OP. The wife will love this

  • Looks delicious šŸ˜‹

  • You should fax some of that to me.

  • Awesome pic/lighting OP. Bunch of vibrant colors there. Looks good.

  • Looks amazing! The colours came out really well and I’m sure it was yummy!

  • Makes me wish I could cook. Lol

  • Needs more parmigiano

  • Some coriander, paprika, salt, black pepper, and maybe a dash of mint would make this an amazing summer dish.

  • I have horrible memories of a dish similar to this. I was probably like 6 or 7? Still in the phase of being an extremely picky eater….and my mom made this lemon pasta dish and I’m sure it tasted great, but my 7 year old self decided to hate the fuck out of it. I don’t even remember what it tasted like. I bet I was just being a little bitch and it wasn’t that bad. But to this day just the smell of a dish like this sets me off.

  • To all the people asking for a recipe…

    One box of Penne

    Cook it in boiling water with salt for maybe 8-9 minutes..

    It shouldn’t be fully cooked at this point.

    Drain water but keep some (1 or 2 cups) in case you need some moisture

    Return the penne to medium heat with 1 cup chicken broth

    Add lemon and butter and any vegetables and continue to cook until veggies are soft and the penne is Al dente.

    This is a shit recipe but it’s 1000x better than whatever the hell you thought was a recipe.

    Make noodles, add butter, don’t overcook it. That’s better than frozen crap.

  • What seasoning did you use?

  • hook me up w the recipe, please.

  • I’m imagining the flavour…

  • [removed]

  • Yum

  • So colourful and delicious

  • Seems delicious.

  • Mmm lemons

  • I stared way too long expecting a gif.

  • Looks delicious. By chance do you have the recipe handy?

  • My lemon chicken pasta recipe is: chicken strips, butter, white wine, garlic, salt, red pepper flakes, spinach, parmesan, lemon juice

  • Yum. I’m hungry now. Looks great, maybe a bit light on the chicken but hey… maybe it’s all resting on the bottom of the pan.

  • It is a delicious food so tasty
