  • It sounds more like the high end model will be $499, and a $699 variant will also be available with all the bells and whistles. No way they are selling a competitor to the 1080 starting at $699.

  • We still won’t have solid performance benchmarks u till we get actual reviews though. Take any AMD benchmarks with a bag of salt.

  • itll be 1000+ due to all the miners tho.

  • I would be willing to pay those rumored prices just to have an AMD solution that’s competitive with the GTX 1080 because I want to support Freesync.

  • Man. I just don’t care at this point. Name em what you want. Price em what you want. I just want to see if I need to get a 1080Ti or not.

  • So the one priced at $699 will be the one with the holo cube and all?

  • I’m really looking forward to reading up about this, I’ve only just heard about it.

  • I really hope it will perform better than frontier edition because otherwise how is the Vega 56 going to perform VS Fury X? They might be way too close…

  • so like 800-900 in Europe

  • As someone who isn’t all.. Knowledgeable about the different specs between these, does it follow the same rule about their CPU’s?

AMD being great for budget builds, but still not as powerful as Intel/Nvidia at a higher price point?

  • 600$ for 1080 Performance from AMD?

It consumes twice the power! 1080’s can be found for sub 500$ these days!

  • So the high end air cooled model is priced like a 1080 but that one benchmark put it at 15% higher performance. That’s pretty good imo, maybe I’ll go freesync 2.

  • Wheres the source wheres this online you speak of?

  • not high end , limited edition with comes with holo cube

  • a 1080 water cooled card is $600 from evga and $620 from gigabyte and a water cooled 1080ti is over $750. If the rx vega is in between a 1080 and 1080ti the water cooled version is decently priced.

  • I’m jumping to the Vega 64 if it’s anywhere near a gtx 1080 in performance.

  • I just want the 580 to come back 🙁

  • Yeah maybe until all the cryptocurrency miners come in and buy them all driving up the prices.
